03/21/2011 Open Mike Monday (OMM)
And we're back to a craft-related question. . .
Question: What's your favorite Nestabilities Label dies (not basic shapes, i.e. circles)?
Cammy: Hands down, Labels 10. Labels 14 is first on my wish list.
Jackie: Oh I have to choose?! Well I really want Labels 14, which I will be getting when my new Nesties come in, but until then it's Labels 10 all the way!
Jami: I probably use Labels #3 the most because I like to layer the circle on top of it....but the new 18, 19 and 21 are next on my list to buy!
Jeanie: Of those I own, Labels Four! I so want 21 though.... how cool is that one?
Jenny: Labels Eight!
Joy: Labels 4- so glad they made this in a small size too so I can layer!
Michele: I like #4
Min: My favorite that I HAVE is Labels four, but I Love ALL the New Labels!! :D
Paul: I like the new Tudor one. Looks quite versatile
Rae Anne: Labels 10.
Sandye: My favorite nestabilities label is whatever one Rae Anne or Joy has just used on their card. That's always the next one I want to get!!!!!

You probably have a baby or child that you dote on in a similar manner, dont' you? If so, why don't you join us this week? This challenge is to create a project using babies and/or children and post a link to it on Bugaboo Stamps' challenge blog, Catch the Bug, by 03/26/2011 at 7:00 AM EST to be entered in a random drawing for three digital prize packs - seven, four, or two digital images!

Perhaps a bit nosy, but not untoward. . .
Question: How did you meet your significant other (husband/wife, lover, boyfriend/girlfriend. . .)?
Amy: Originally, he was skateboarding down the hall in Junior High School. Later we had several mutual friends and had known each other for years. "It" all started while a group of us were out (at a bar :) one night, we talked and talked, he asked me to go to his cousins wedding with him the following weekend and....the rest is....well....history.
Catherine: Max came to France for a training session organised by the office where I was working... Love at first sight... Six months later I moved to England... The rest is history...
Jackie: Well, at the moment I am single, but when I find a good guy I will let you know how we met :)
Jenny: Blind Date! We were set up by a person who didn't know either of us very well. It's a long story about how everything played out and all I can say is it was meant to be =)
Jodie: I was at my mothers house with my kids....my brother brought him to help move a bed. My Mom invited him to stay for supper......(boy he was a cutie...lol) my daughter who was like 4, announced at the supper table "Fraidy (our cat) got his peepee cut off" i could have shrunk in my chair....however when i looked over, he was smiling and had huge dimples. i was done. My brother invited me out to the bar that night, with him in tow. we will be married 5 years this year.
Joy: LOL, well I picked my DH up in a bar (funny since I'm an addictions therapist and said I WOULD NEVER DO THIS). But the reason I started talking to him was b/c we went to the same church together as kids and I knew him (and liked his brother at that time- as they say, thank God for unanswered prayers!) We ended up getting married in the same church where we met :)
Michele: We actually knew each other from elementary school. We were in the same class 5-8th grades. We weren't really friends nor enemies just classmates. We went our separate ways in high school. Then we met up again in college through a mutual friend. We've been together for 10 years, married for 4.5 :-)
Min: My hubby and I met at work. We didn't work together, just for the same company at the time. We both worked long hours for an entertainment venue and one night during an event got to talking and from there....well, we've been celebrating romantic bliss for 10+ years! :D
Rae Anne: A blind date, set up by a mutual Argentine friend.
Sandye: My most unused tool also would have to be my cricut! We did use it occasionally when Liz was in high school for presentations and charts she had to do. Unfortunately--I don't use it much.
Scrappy: I was introduced to my husband by his friend. See - his friend was trying to get up the nerve to ask me out and thought going out with a group of people would be the way to break the ice. By the end of the night, he told his friend he was interested in dating me himself! :p He asked me if I'd marry him after dating for about two weeks! I said "NO! Are you CRAZY? Do you think *I'm* CRAZY?" Apparently we both are! We've been together for 18 years in May!
Stephanie: My Hubby and I met in High School, he was a senior and I was sophomore. His homeroom was the typing room and I was always going in there to practice my typing before school-He never really said anything to me always tried to get me to smile, then on the last day of school he asked me for my phone number *big smile*! We will be married 28 years in May!

03/12/2010 Scallops Challenge
It goes without saying that scallops have long been popular in papercrafting, but I'm going to say it anyway because I like to talk. . .;)
Because they're so popular, this week's challenge should be a really easy one for all of you. It's to create a project using scallops (no potatoes please. . .;) and post a link to it on Bugaboo Stamps' challenge blog, Catch the Bug, by 03/19/2011 at 7:00 AM EST to be entered in a random drawing for three digital prize packs - seven, four, or two digital images!

03/07/2011 Open Mike Monday (OMM)
We're not here to blare or blast any product, but I hope that our opinions prove amusingly consistent, if not useful. . .;)
Question: What is the one crafting tool that you had to have, but hardly (or never) use?
Amy: sadly....my cricut. It truly is a wonderful tool but....I don't know if it's the effort it requires or what. It just seems time consuming. I always say "I'm going to start using that" but... I mainly wanted it for letters for scrapbooking but then card making kind of took over. Maybe some day we will be reunited :)
Cammy: Mine was the Cricut as well -- so much so that I sold it the other year. I couldn't see letting it collect dust and take up space. I've thought maybe I should have kept it a few times --especially with the new SVG files available.
Catherine: The biggest mistake I make two years ago was to buy a Craft Robo... I hardly use it because it only cuts very thin paper and the blades get blunt so quickly... What a waste of money...
Catherine: The biggest mistake I make two years ago was to buy a Craft Robo... I hardly use it because it only cuts very thin paper and the blades get blunt so quickly... What a waste of money...
Jackie: Mine is my Big Shot, I got it on sale thanks to fellow DT member Michele, but I didn't want to take it out of the box since I had no where to put it. Now it's at least 8 months later and it is still sealed up in it's box, on the plus side it was easy to move!
Jenny: Crop -A- Dile. I bought it to punch holes in chipboard and metal. I mostly make cards without those items so it never gets used. I have a list of many other items(tools) that don't get used =)

Joy: My Page in Progress Box, it's used to make scrapbook pages, but ummm......I guess I would have to actually scrapbook to use it. It was bought with the best intentions, really!
Lori: It's a toss up between my Cricut and my Scor Pal. I used to use the Cricut a lot for scrapbooking and my early cardmaking, before I had any stamps or digi images. Now it just sits and collects dust/takes up room on my craft table. I do occasionally use it for kids' school projects. The other one is the Scor Pal..I don't know why I thought I needed that. It just sits in the corner collecting dust.
Peggy: That would be my Scor-pal! It just collects dust in a corner. :(
Rae Anne: Definitely my Crop-A-Dile, which is no longer mine because I just gave it away.
Sandye: My most unused tool also would have to be my cricut! We did use it occasionally when Liz was in high school for presentations and charts she had to do. Unfortunately--I don't use it much.
Scrappy: My Cricut has been in a box since I moved from NJ two years ago. It's really sad too...I bought 2 cartridges for it since I moved and those too are still in their sealed packages! My Xyron hasn't been used in at least 3 years either!
Off you go now to Bugaboo Stamps' challenge blog, Catch the Bug, for the absolutely fabulous projects that Lola and Min-Min have made for ABC Monday.
