01/31/2011 Open Mike Monday (OMM)

Sharon of Sharon's Showcase is sooo lucky because she won the Third Place Prize in Bugaboo Stamps' Birthday Blog Hop - She gets to design her own set with Jodie! I think that's the prize that all of us here on the DT envied the most, and then I got to thinking. . .

Question: If you could have Jodie draw you any kind of image collection, what would it be?

Amy: Scarlette paper crafting.

Cammy: I'd have to say some men to go toe-to-toe with JJ, Ruby, Dottie and Scarlette. For as fabulous as they are, they need some hottie arm candy. :)

Catherine: Crabby Cat in fancy costumes !

Jackie: Oh my list would be huge, but I think for now I will say maybe some fairies or maybe some butterflies. I loved the Bear collection too, so more of those would be fun. I would also love to see some teenagers, Deacon and Ava are almost there, but teens would be fabulous!

Jenny: Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Collection =)

Joy: Famous Couples!

Lola: Geek stuff. you know, chemistry items, school stuff, pun stuff. Wow, that was real specific.

Lori: Of course I'd love to see more Snowmen and Teddy Bears! But as for a collection of something new...I'd like to see some guys. Young adult to middle aged would be fun.

Melissa: Dragons. Yea Dragons

Michele: I would LOVE to see

- Twilight themed images

- Mermaids

Min: Something TROPICAL (hmmmmm, must be the SNOW & COLD making me think tropical!!) :D

Peggy: Oh Twilight would be awesome or more teen guy stuff!  With a house full of boys I am always looking!

Rae Anne: Seasonal/holiday hot air balloons/wreaths/houses, Peter Pan, and cute Asian-themed images (karate, sumo wrestler, geisha, tea sets ,orchids, etc. . .), Bugaboo Brats in band costumes playing different kinds of instruments.  Bugaboo Brats in "international" type costumes. Also Bugaboo Brats being baptized, confirmed, and praying. 

Sandye: A Wizard of Oz Collection, simialr to the Har Repotter set!

Scrappy: Definitely more dogs and cute cats! And how about some cute tropical fish? Now that I'm thinking about it. . .Anything warm and beach-y sounds GREAT right now!

Tammy A+: Maybe some adorable snakes with cool snake skins...like flowers, stripes & polka dots!

Artist Trading Card (ATC) Challenge

Your first question is probably going to be, "What's an Artist Trading Card?" Simply put, it's a miniature work of art, a single-sided canvas of only 2.5" x 3.5" (about the size of a baseball card). The challenge is to make a card front, but on a smaller scale. . . ;)

Paul has an entire blog, ATC Swappers, dedicated to fellow ATC artists in the UK. If you were lucky enough to catch this week's ABC Monday on Bugaboo Stamps' challenge blog, Catch the Bug, then you saw his brilliant (or "brill", as he always shortens it) ATC Display Book.

The cool thing about ATCs is their versatility - you can use them as gift enclosures, lunch box notes, or the centerpiece of a full-size card (man I wish I'd thought of that for my project today. . .;)

Winter White Challenge

According to my Mexican Southern Belle Mama, you nevah-evah wear white shoes, winter or otherwise, before Easter or after Labor Day. However, I'm thinking (hoping is more like it), that she wouldn't consider it too much of a fashion faux pas if we use it on our projects within that time period. I mean snow is white after all, and I don't think that even she could argue with God about that. . .;)
